Product Description

Lee Oskar Major Diatonic harmonicas are part of the Lee Oskar range of modular blues harps, made by Tombo in Japan to Lee's specifications.

The Major Diatonic is the most popular tuning in the range, as it follows the traditional Richter note layout, familiar to all ten hole harmonica players. If you want to play traditional blues tunes in first or second position, this is the harmonica you need. It will also work well for folk, pop and country, although players who wish to use minor keys, or are interested in playing country or Eastern tunes, should check out Lee Oskar's Melody Maker, Natural Minor and Harmonic Minor harps, which share the same basic architecture as the Major Diatonic, but feature different tunings.

Lee Oskar harps are renowned for their dark, raspy tone, and the ease with which they can be maintained, making them ideal for beginners and experts alike. The traditional brass reeds are responsive, and the ABS comb is comfortable to use and offers excellent swell resistance. The bolted together construction facilitates cleaning and maintenance, and replacement reeds plates are available in all tunings at significantly less than the price of a new harmonica.

All over the world, professional players use Lee Oskar Harps as their first choice harmonica.

Excellent customer service! My recent purchase required a couple of alterations in details and they were very responsive about it. Despite the changes in the order, the item actually arrived earlier than expected!

The Seydel Session Standard Harmonica is a diatonic harp with a plastic comb and stainless steel covers. A fantastic blues harp that is ideal for beginners. Learn to play on this wonderful Seydel Session Standard Harmonica, that comes in the majority of keys. The Session Standard shares the same construction as the more expensive Session Steel model; the only difference is that the Standard comes with brass, rather than stainless steel, reeds. The reed plates from the Session Steel are interchangeable with the Session Standard, so it's possible to upgrade to these in the future, should you wish to. All Seydel harmonicas are manufactured in Germany, so the Session Standard represents one of the of the most cost-effective entry points to a quality German made diatonic. Some players prefer the sound of the traditional brass reeds used in this harmonica and a small number of other Seydels, such as the Favorite, to the stainless steel reeds used in the majority of the company's harps. Like the Session Steel, the Session Standard features recessed reed plates, which means that the player's mouth doesn't come into contact with the reed plates, aiding rapid runs up and down the harmonica. The ABS comb is durable and swell resistant. A great harp for any player, but an especially good choice for those who want a quality instrument without breaking the bank! About Seydel Seydel is the world's oldest extant manufacturer of harmonicas, having been producing the instruments in Germany since the 1940s. Following World War 2, the factory was, unfortunately, located within the newly formed GDR, and the company was absorbed into the state run manufacturer of musical instruments - VEB Klingenthal Harmonica Works. After the end of the Cold War, Seydel was returned to the descendants of its owners, then was sold to the current owners around a decade later. They are now known for their high quality, durability, and, in many models, their signature stainless steel reeds.... Read more

The Fender Blues Deluxe Harmonica is versatile enough for any level of player, from beginner to expert. It has a solid construction, a traditional shape and a bright, articulate tone. This diatonic 10-hole harmonica offers the classic sound and long-lasting reliability of any genuine Fender instrument. Players who are looking for a higher end diatonic should check out the Fender Blues Deville, which features highly durable and great sounding phosphor bronze reeds - similar to those used in Suzuki harps - but still comes in at an impressively low price point. About Fender Fender Musical Instrument Corp can trace it origins to Leo Fender's original business - Fender Radio Service, which was involved in the repair and maintenance of PAs and radio equipment. Experiments with the lap steel guitar in the 1940s led to them changing their name to Fender Instruments, and  producing one of the earliest solid body electric guitars - the Telecaster. This led to the development of their most famous guitar - the Stratocaster - which helped to shape popular music throughout the 1960s and beyond. Harmonicas are a recent addition to the Fender portfolio of instruments, but the Blues Deluxe has the same level build quality, playability and tone you would expect from any product from the "Big F"....
