The Hohner TM132 Reed Plates are designed to fit Hohner's Big River Harp, Blues Harp & Pro Harps. These reed plates are sold in pairs (top and bottom plate). It is always worth having spare reed plates, as fitting them can be done in as little as 5 minutes, and they can return a faulty harp back to full glory at significantly less expense than the price of a complete harmonica. All that is required to change reed plates is a small Phillips screwdriver and a little patience! Although these reed plates will fit the Meisterklasse 580/20 MS harmonica, this is not recommended, as the Meisterklasse achieves much of its tone from the thicker 1.05mm reed plates that come as standard. The Hohner Marine Band Crossover is the top of the line standard tuned harmonica within the brand's Marine Band series of traditional wood comb harps. Responding to the needs of professional players who wanted an instrument that combined the tone and feel of a wood comb with the swell resistance and durability of modern designs like the Special 20, Hohner created the Crossover, which features a unique bamboo comb, and precision-tuned reed plates, all wrapped up in a compact, Marine Band style body. The laminated bamboo comb gives the Crossover an exceptionally light feel in the hands, and also allows for class - leading flatness. This greatly facilitates airtightness, which makes the Crossover an extremely responsive harp, with easy access to precise bends, and the ability to overblow, if required. In fact, it is one of the most airtight production harmonicas on the market, meaning that less of your effort is lost to leakage, allowing even beginners to start bending notes almost immediately! The comb also features Supaglide lacquer applied to all surfaces, which not only adds an extra barrier to moisture, but also greatly facilitates the playing of rapid licks as the surface is ultra smooth and friction free.
