The Bulletizer

The Bulletizer - If you use a Shure 545 or SM57, you're not alone. These are wonderful harmonica mics and are in wide use. However their small diameter can make holding and cupping them uncomfortable. Over the last few years Greg, from BlowsMeAway Productions had many customers ask "Can you fit an SM57 or 545 element into one of your wood shells?"

The answer is no - the cartridge of these mics is about as long as a typical bullet shell's outside dimension, and then there's a transformer (located in the barrel of the standard mic) and the connector that have to be accommodated.

The Bulletizertm is the solution. It gives you a larger surface to grasp and cup, and provides an acoustic chamber inside your cup to bring out the best of the mic's tone. You can even "tune the tone" by varying the position of the mic inside the shell.

The Bulletizer's outside diameter is 2 inches, making it very easy to cup, even if you have small hands. By comparison, a JT30 is 2.35 inches in diameter.

The Bulletizer is easy to install and remove, and fits very securely on your mic. To achieve this Greg machines each one in his own shop, to very close tolerances for an exact fit. For this reason it does not fit other microphones. It fits Shure SM57, Beta 57 (not Beta57A), 545 and PE54, and BlowsMeAway Ultimate versions of these mics.

Excellent customer service! My recent purchase required a couple of alterations in details and they were very responsive about it. Despite the changes in the order, the item actually arrived earlier than expected!

Hohner Harpblaster Microphone

£167.99
The new standard in harp microphones The Hohner Harpblaster microphone is modelled after the sound of legendary vintage harp microphones and with the help of professional players, HOHNER and sE Electronics have created the HB52 Harp Blaster, a dynamic harmonica microphone. Boutique features such as the Bourns® potentiometer and the gold plated XLR connector and state of the art manufacturing make it the new standard in harmonica microphones. About sE Electronics After studying Western Composition at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and moving on to become a successful conductor, composer, and bassoon player, Mr. Siwei Zou was invited to California State University as a visiting scholar in their music department. During his first years in San Francisco, his contacts in Shanghai would send him newly-developed microphones with which to record. Though he was impressed with the performance of these models, he was unhappy with their machining and design, and began suggesting changes. At this point, sE began to take shape as a business. In the company's infancy, all sE microphones were produced by the same large-scale manufacturing facilities that still produce mics for dozens of brands known around the world. However, Siwei felt the need for a higher standard of quality and artistic control over his mics, and in 2003 the company opened its very own production facility in Shanghai. Since 2008, the sE factory has been run by Siwei's daughter, who presides over the day-to-day operations of the company and all of its 65 employees, including their team of 12 skilled staff engineers. At this facility, sE manufactures nearly everything that goes into their microphones. Today, sE Electronics is made up of specialized design, engineering and production teams, and has a global sales and marketing team across Europe and the USA.... Read more
