Product Description

The Seydel 1847 Noble is the jewel of the 1847 blues harps collection. An instrument built without compromise; made from only the best materials available and with over 160 years of Seydel's harmonica making experience.

This is the Standard Richter tuned harmonica, if you wish to get the 1847 Noble in Paddy Richter, or if we do not have the key you need, then please contact us. The Seydel 1847 Noble is part of the blues range and comes with stainless steel reeds.

The Seydel 1847 Noble shares its basic architecture with the slightly less expensive 1847 Classic and Silver models. The main differences are the anodised alloy comb and the satin cover plates. The former provides the Noble with a bright tone and responsive feel, along with excellent durability and swell resistance, whilst the latter gives an understated classy look that differentiates this harp from its cheaper siblings. Like the 1847 Classic, the Noble is available in a full range of low, standard and high tunings, with different combs and cover plates used for the different tonal ranges.

  • New cover plates; matted stainless steel covers with side-vents (openings on both sides), optimised sound projection and distribution of airflow if playing fully cupped
  • New comb accurately milled from aluminium, anodised in black and with the Seydel logo laser-engraved on the back - superb air-tightness and improved handling due to the greater weight of the instrument
  • New tactile oval key stickers- hard wearing and removes the danger of holding the instrument the wrong way round, even in the dark
  • Approved corrosion-free fine-cut reed plates made of German Silver fixed with stainless steel screws - extremely close tolerances between slot and reed for best possible tone control for the player
  • Precisely factory adjusted, pitch-stable and durable reeds and rivets both made of Stainless Steel - optimal tone response and a full sound
  • Tuning: Standard Richter. (Paddy Richter also available on request)

- C, G, A, D and Bb Hohner Rocket 5 Pack - C, G, A, D and Bb - Rock is many things – quiet is not one of them. For a harmonica to not be lost between squealing guitars and heavy drums, it has to be loud too. Which is why rock harpist Jimmie Bones relies on the power of the HOHNER Rocket. No other harmonica is this loud, while being this comfortable at the same time. Get ready to be blasted through rock, pop, jazz, and country with this incredibly powerful harp for advanced players. In terms of sound and feel, the Rocket is akin to a louder Special 20, with which it shares many of its features, such as the ABS comb and recessed reed plates. In fact, many players who prefer to the now discontinued Marine Band Series Special 20, prefer the Rocket and the Rocket Amp to the Progressive Series Special 20. This 5 pack of Rocket harmonicas includes the most popular keys and represents a significant discount over buying them individually. It also comes with a neoprene soft case that can carry up to 7 harmonicas. Optimized cover plates and larger channel openings Wide open cover plates with side vents and larger channel openings are specifically designed to generate a loud, powerful sound. Comfortable comb design The first serial production harmonica with rounded comb sides, edges, and corners for maximum comfort. Recessed reed plate The reed plates are recessed for a more comfortable mouthpiece... Read more

Hohner Marine Band Crossover Harmonica

£64.99

13 Keys available

Hohner Marine Band Crossover Harmonica The Hohner Marine Band Crossover is the top of the line standard tuned harmonica within the brand's Marine Band series of traditional wood comb harps. Responding to the needs of professional players who wanted an instrument that combined the tone and feel of a wood comb with the swell resistance and durability of modern designs like the Special 20, Hohner created the Crossover, which features a unique bamboo comb, and precision-tuned reed plates, all wrapped up in a compact, Marine Band style body. The laminated bamboo comb gives the Crossover an exceptionally light feel in the hands, and also allows for class - leading flatness. This greatly facilitates airtightness, which makes the Crossover an extremely responsive harp, with easy access to precise bends, and the ability to overblow, if required. In fact, it is one of the most airtight production harmonicas on the market, meaning that less of your effort is lost to leakage, allowing even beginners to start bending notes almost immediately! The comb also features Supaglide lacquer applied to all surfaces, which not only adds an extra barrier to moisture, but also greatly facilitates the playing of rapid licks as the surface is ultra smooth and friction free. The Crossover's temperament is a modern compromise tuning - marginally closer to equal temperament than the Marine Band 1896 or Deluxe. This makes it ideal for single note melody playing, whilst maintaining the ability to play chords. Tolerances between reed and reed plate are exceptionally good on this harp, as is the consistency of reed adjustment, making this feel more like a custom harmonica than an off the shelf model. 15 Keys available

Play fast runs and Irish tunes on your harmonica The SESSION STEEL Major Cross from Tony Eyers makes fast tunes easier to play. The instrument was developed for fast bluegrass and Irish tunes. It’s also useful for Irish Folk, Scottish Reels, Jigs, Country tunes and all kind of flute and fiddle tunes. Explore the possibilities of this new tuning. The MAJOR CROSS tuning, developed by Tony Eyers, allows a major scale to be played in second (or cross) position without any bending. While many players use second position, they often find traditional tunes challenging, due to the bending/overblowing needed for some notes. MAJOR CROSS eliminates this problem. Moreover, as bending/overblowing is generally not needed, MAJOR CROSS harmonicas are well suited to the fast speeds common with traditional fiddle tunes.        ... Read more

Suzuki Manji 3 Key Harmonica Set

£135.99
The Suzuki Manji 3 key harmonica set includes 3 x M-20 harps designed for the player on the go. The most popular keys of C, G and A fit nicely in a beautiful carrying case that protects and cushions your Suzuki Manji's from dust and damage. Comes with a free case and discounted price against buying individual Suzuki Manji harmonicas. Features Suzuki's signature wood/resin comb, which provides the tone and warmth of wood, but with none of the swelling issues. The Suzuki Manji combines advanced technology and functional beauty to create a stunning 10 hole diatonic harmonica. This revolutionary Suzuki diatonic harp is named after Mr. Manji Suzuki, the company's founder — now in his late 80's, however still pretty much in charge. He started with a single hand-built model nearly 70 years ago, and has built Suzuki up into one of the world's premier harmonica manufacturers. Number of holes: 10 Cover plates: Stainless steel Reed plates:  Phosphor Bronze, 20 reeds Comb: Resin Wood Composite Keys: C/G/A (3 piece set) Made in Japan About Suzuki Suzuki is one of the world's leading harmonica manufacturers, and has been producing harmonicas and related instruments in Japan since 1963. Its signature feature is phosphor bronze reeds, which provide a distinctive sound and outlast traditional brass reeds. In common with other harmonicas made in Japan, such as those manufactured by Tombo, Suzukis tend to be tuned to equal temperament, rather than the compromised tuning more commonly found on German made Hohners and Seydels. This makes them ideally suited for playing melody lines, although chords are also possible. Warning: It has come to our attention that counterfeit Suzuki Harmonicas are being offered for sale through overseas sellers. Please do not fall victim to these illegal sellers of Suzuki Harmonicas. All our Suzuki range have been purchased directly from the official Suzuki distributors.   ... Read more
