Excellent customer service! My recent purchase required a couple of alterations in details and they were very responsive about it. Despite the changes in the order, the item actually arrived earlier than expected!

Hohner Harpblaster Microphone

Hohner Harpblaster Microphone

£167.99
The new standard in harp microphones The Hohner Harpblaster microphone is modelled after the sound of legendary vintage harp microphones and with the help of professional players, HOHNER and sE Electronics have created the HB52 Harp Blaster, a dynamic harmonica microphone. Boutique features such as the Bourns® potentiometer and the gold plated XLR connector and state of the art manufacturing make it the new standard in harmonica microphones. About sE Electronics After studying Western Composition at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and moving on to become a successful conductor, composer, and bassoon player, Mr. Siwei Zou was invited to California State University as a visiting scholar in their music department. During his first years in San Francisco, his contacts in Shanghai would send him newly-developed microphones with which to record. Though he was impressed with the performance of these models, he was unhappy with their machining and design, and began suggesting changes. At this point, sE began to take shape as a business. In the company's infancy, all sE microphones were produced by the same large-scale manufacturing facilities that still produce mics for dozens of brands known around the world. However, Siwei felt the need for a higher standard of quality and artistic control over his mics, and in 2003 the company opened its very own production facility in Shanghai. Since 2008, the sE factory has been run by Siwei's daughter, who presides over the day-to-day operations of the company and all of its 65 employees, including their team of 12 skilled staff engineers. At this facility, sE manufactures nearly everything that goes into their microphones. Today, sE Electronics is made up of specialized design, engineering and production teams, and has a global sales and marketing team across Europe and the USA.... Read more

Hohner Marine Band Crossover Harmonica

Hohner Marine Band Crossover Harmonica

£64.99

13 Keys available

Hohner Marine Band Crossover Harmonica The Hohner Marine Band Crossover is the top of the line standard tuned harmonica within the brand's Marine Band series of traditional wood comb harps. Responding to the needs of professional players who wanted an instrument that combined the tone and feel of a wood comb with the swell resistance and durability of modern designs like the Special 20, Hohner created the Crossover, which features a unique bamboo comb, and precision-tuned reed plates, all wrapped up in a compact, Marine Band style body. The laminated bamboo comb gives the Crossover an exceptionally light feel in the hands, and also allows for class - leading flatness. This greatly facilitates airtightness, which makes the Crossover an extremely responsive harp, with easy access to precise bends, and the ability to overblow, if required. In fact, it is one of the most airtight production harmonicas on the market, meaning that less of your effort is lost to leakage, allowing even beginners to start bending notes almost immediately! The comb also features Supaglide lacquer applied to all surfaces, which not only adds an extra barrier to moisture, but also greatly facilitates the playing of rapid licks as the surface is ultra smooth and friction free. The Crossover's temperament is a modern compromise tuning - marginally closer to equal temperament than the Marine Band 1896 or Deluxe. This makes it ideal for single note melody playing, whilst maintaining the ability to play chords. Tolerances between reed and reed plate are exceptionally good on this harp, as is the consistency of reed adjustment, making this feel more like a custom harmonica than an off the shelf model. The Hohner Meisterklasse Chromatic Harmonica is Hohner's only German-made 14 hole chromatic, with a scale extending downwards to G3, giving it the same tonal range as a violin and making it possible for the player to master classical pieces written for that instrument. Like its diatonic namesake, the Meisterklasse chromatic boasts an anodized aluminium comb and is equipped with specially designed chrome plated brass covers for optimal sound projection.
