Product Description

The Seydel 1847 Silver harmonica is a corrosion-free Richter-diatonic harmonica with stainless steel reeds. Additional to the Standard Richter tuning model here, the 1847 Silver also comes in Paddy Richter or half-valved.

The Seydel 1847 Silver harp has an impressive appearance and contains new technical features.

  • The cover plates and reed plate screws are made of Stainless Steel
  • Reed plates made of non-corrosive German Silver
  • Solid plastic comb
  • Tuning: Standard Richter (if you wish to order the Paddy Richter or half-valved please contact us)

It also still has some of the well known features from the Seydel 1847 Classic:

  • Reduced air loss due to fine cut reed plates - optimised flatness and extremely small tolerances between reed and reed plate
  • beard and lip friendly cover plates with rounded edges without any cuts at the mouthpiece
  • the overtone-rich sound can spread out unhindered - covers opened wide at the back and crimped and therefore a good stability and rounded edges

Excellent customer service! My recent purchase required a couple of alterations in details and they were very responsive about it. Despite the changes in the order, the item actually arrived earlier than expected!

Fender Blues Deville Harmonica

£37.99

7 Keys available

The Fender Blues Deville Harmonica is Fender's top line diatonic, featuring phosphor bronze reeds, a durable ABS comb and a cool matte black and gold finish, not dissimilar to Hohner's Pro Harp. Build quality and tone are excellent, and bending is easy with the phosphor bronze reeds. The Fender Blues Deville Harmonica features an ABS comb, which is extremely resistant to moisture and swelling and can be easily cleaned. Reeds are phospor bronze - usually found only on Suzuki harmonicas. These give a rich, bright tone, with exceptional durability. Some players have reported lifespans significantly greater than traditional bronze reeds. Available in a range of 7 standard major keys: C, D, E, F, G, A and Bb. Also available as a 7 harp set, which is priced at a level that is significantly cheaper than buying all 7 keys individually This diatonic 10-hole harmonica offers the classic sound and long-lasting reliability of any genuine Fender instrument. Players who are looking for an entry level diatonic should check out the Fender Blues Deluxe, which features replaceable brass reeds, a durable ABC comb, and cool retro looks at a great price point. About Fender Fender Musical Instrument Corp can trace it origins to Fender Radio Service, which repaired and maintained  PA systems and radio equipment in the late 1930s and 1940s. Experiments with the lap steel guitar in the 1940s led to them becoming Fender Instruments, and  producing one of the earliest solid body electric guitars - the Telecaster. This led to the development of their most famous guitar - the Stratocaster - which helped to shape popular music throughout the 1960s and beyond. Harmonicas are a relatively recent product line from Fender, but the their experience in instrument design and manufacturing has allowed them to hit the ground running with their harmonicas and related equipment - The Blues Deville really is an excellent harp that's worthy of the Fender name.... Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Harmonica

£31.49

16 Keys available

Lee Oskar Major Diatonic harmonicas are part of the Lee Oskar range of modular blues harps, made by Tombo in Japan to Lee's specifications. The Major Diatonic is the most popular tuning in the range, as it follows the traditional Richter note layout, familiar to all ten hole harmonica players. If you want to play traditional blues tunes in first or second position, this is the harmonica you need. It will also work well for folk, pop and country, although players who wish to use minor keys, or are interested in playing country or Eastern tunes, should check out Lee Oskar's Melody Maker, Natural Minor and Harmonic Minor harps, which share the same basic architecture as the Major Diatonic, but feature different tunings. Lee Oskar harps are renowned for their dark, raspy tone, and the ease with which they can be maintained, making them ideal for beginners and experts alike. The traditional brass reeds are responsive, and the ABS comb is comfortable to use and offers excellent swell resistance. The bolted together construction facilitates cleaning and maintenance, and replacement reeds plates are available in all tunings at significantly less than the price of a new harmonica. All over the world, professional players use Lee Oskar Harps as their first choice harmonica. Seydel Session Steel Harmonic Minor

£50.99

11 Keys available

The Seydel Session Steel harmonic minor tuning harmonica is the upgrade to Seydel's successful Session model, and it comes presented with a bold new look and superior technical reliability, excellent playability and a fantastic sound. This is a blues harmonica with corrosion-free stainless steel reeds, ergonomic covers and plastic comb. Seydel's stainless steel reeds provide a bright and powerful sound, and also allow easy bending of notes. Their main advantage, though, is durability - some players have found that the lifespan of these reeds can be up to 5 times that of harps with traditional brass reeds. This is particularly relevant if you're a powerful player who likes to perform frequent overblows. As with all Seydels, air tightness is high, and the cover plate design ensures that the Seydel Session Steel Harmonic Minor harmonica is friendly to both lips and beards (not something you can say about all harmonicas!). Build quality is also exceptionally high - a legacy both of Seydel's long history and its investment in new technology in the last decade or so. This is the harmonic minor tuned Session Steel, however you can also get it in Paddy Richter, PowerDraw, PowerBender, Melodic Maker, Circular/Melody King, Country and Natural Minor. If you would like any of the other tunings please contact us. We also offer custom tuning such as equal temperament on special order.
