The Seydel 1847 classic harmonica was the first mass-produced Richter diatonic harmonica with stainless steel reeds. The 1847 classic is the result of Seydel's 160-year of experience in manufacturing high-quality harmonicas. Seydel is the world's oldest extant harmonica manufacturer and has been producing harmonicas in Saxony, Germany, since the middle of the 19th century. Its speciality is stainless steel reeds, which offer exceptional durability and clarity of tone.
