Seydel 1847 Silver/Classic/Noble Reed Plates for direct fitment to Seydel harmonicas. A set of replacement reed plates, which will fit 1847 CLASSIC, SILVER (not SILVER+), NOBLE, Favorite and Solist Pro models.

These reed plates are standard Richter-tuned models. We are also able to supply them in alternative tunings, such as  PowerDraw and Paddy Richter, and completely custom tunings - please contact us for more information.

The reed offset is pre-adjusted; some reeds may require a fine-adjustment (>Setting-up the reed offset).

The Seydel De Luxe Chromatic is the entry point to Seydel's chromatic harmonicas and is one of the least expensive German-made chromatics on the market. The basic design of the De Luxe Chromatic is the same as the De Luxe Steel Chromatic, and the reed plates are interchangeable. The main difference is in the reed material; the De Luxe Steel uses stainless steel, which is a feature of many of Seydel's more expensive harmonicas, whilst the standard De Luxe model uses traditional brass reeds. Stainless steel produces a brighter tone and has greater longevity than brass, but many players prefer the feel and sound of brass, and its use in the De Luxe does result in a considerably less expensive harmonica than its big brother. Build quality is as you would expect from the world's oldest harmonica company, and playability and tone are both first rate. The Seydel Session Steel natural minor tuning harmonica is the upgrade to Seydel's successful Session model, and it comes presented with a bold new look and superior technical reliability, excellent playability and a fantastic sound. This is a blues harmonica with corrosion-free stainless steel reeds, ergonomic covers and plastic comb. Seydel's stainless steel reeds provide a bright and powerful sound, and also allow easy bending of notes.
