The Hohner Meisterklasse MS 580/20 is the most exclusive model in the MS range, and one of Hohner's premium diatonic harmonicas. It features a lightweight metal comb and 1.05 mm reed plates - slightly thicker than the standard 0.9mm reed plates on the other MS models, for a richer tone. Ergonomically designed, with timelessly elegant chrome-plated covers that enable fast movement up and down the holes. The Meisterklasse's alloy comb, together with reed plates that are thicker than other MS harmonicas, provides it with a soulful but bright sound. The alloy comb gives great durability and the Meisterklasse has a nice weighty feel in the hands. The Hohner TM132 Reed Plates are designed to fit Hohner's Big River Harp, Blues Harp & Pro Harps. These reed plates are sold in pairs (top and bottom plate). It is always worth having spare reed plates, as fitting them can be done in as little as 5 minutes, and they can return a faulty harp back to full glory at significantly less expense than the price of a complete harmonica. All that is required to change reed plates is a small Phillips screwdriver and a little patience! Although these reed plates will fit the Meisterklasse 580/20 MS harmonica, this is not recommended, as the Meisterklasse achieves much of its tone from the thicker 1.05mm reed plates that come as standard.
